Overall atmosphere and what not was great. If your tech savvy apply through zebra not a third party contractor it'll be far better time employed by zebra. You literally do not get any benefits, holiday pay or pto until you convert to a full time zebra employee. Honestly I really liked zebra and really wish I would had applied through the company and not through a recruiter to work as a contractor. And that is due to the fact that work may not be there and they don't adequately tell you how to offset low production days due to lack of units to repair. ![]() Realistically it could take you over 6 months to even come close to that. Reason being you get no benefits what so ever if you do so and you can only be converted to a full time zebra employee if you hit unrealistic production numbers over the course of 90 days which means you'll be stuck until your average is 100 percent or higher. Do not work for zebra through a third party contracting company. If go to work for zebra apply directly with the company. Pay fair (w/o OT not enough), They treat you like a kid. ![]() If you work nights, you are responsible for days mess and anything that goes wrong or missing, days always takes priority but "by the numbers" does only half the workload of night shift.īenefits are good. Overtime is not optional,it is mandatory 10h 6d a week often a 6month stretch, if you have a day off eg x-mas they will work you overtime, it's not a day off, more like hours shuffled around. The vast majority of people I worked with when I started are gone replaced with young adults(if you can build Lego you can work here as a tech don't let the work description scare you). When I started working here we were real skilled Technicians, now we swap out plastic and "sketchy PCBs repaired off-site" and the devices just have to last a period before it comes back to "repair" again. I work with many smart people, lead by Manager's that do not understand what we do, do not listen to problems that need addressing, show favoritism, only look at numbers rather to actually see the overall value an individual provides to the company. ![]()
